What are HubSpot credits?HubSpot Credits represent the next stage in the evolution of the credit-based system first introduced with Breeze Intelligence unveiled at INBOUND 2024. Imagine them as a flexible digital currency that gives you the possibility to use specific advanced features by demand (meaning, only when you them)
We have said in the past with Martin Angeletti, that we believe that the future of HubSpot as a product should be use-based, meaning paying only for what you are using. (let's see if this credit based model evolves into that). But for the moment these credits will allow you to use specific features, most of them based on AI, and in a more dynamic way depending on the amount of transactions that you need for your business.
These credits are independent from your HubSpot licenses and can be purchased by packages individually at any time. This different from your current Hub licenses that have an annual contract condition.
How do you get your HubSpot Credits?
The good news is that from June 2025 all seat-based paid accounts have free credits associated. If you haven't been migrated yet to the seats model you can talk to your CSM to know how and when are you going to be migrated into this new schema. (Free accounts are not going to have access to credit for the moment)
How are this free credits calculated? Depending on your top Hub license, meaning if you have Marketing Pro and Sales Enterprise, you will get the amount associated to Enterprise. Have in mind that only 1 hub (the top one) will count for the credits, if you have multiple hubs you credit won't get multiplied for all of them, just for one.

To check if you already have your credits associated to your account go to your menu, click on your photo at the top right and look for the HubSpot credits line.
You can also go into Account and Billing, to the Usage and Credits tab.
🚨Permissions attention: Have in mind than in order to be able to administrate or purchase HubSpot credits Super Admin permissions are required or access to the billing section specifically.
What happens when you consume your free credits?
You can purchase a new package of credits to use in that same month. Here is the current prices for the credit's packages.

What happens if you don't consume your free credits?
You loose them, as credits are not transferable to the next month. So a strategical planing on the usage of your credits is always important.
How can you leverage your HubSpot credits?
OK, so now you know that you have your credits available, lets see what you can do with them.
These are the current features available to use with credits:
- Smart properties: This is a new type of property available that you can create for companies and use a prompt with AI to define the values of it. You can based your smart property on other properties or also searching for info on internet or for example on the company Website. This is ideal for customer who need a different industry classification, need to define Tiers for their prospects based on revenue or amount of employees or for getting more context about the prospect's offers for qualification.
The current available formats for these smart properties are single-line text, multi-line text, numbers, check boxes and drop downs.- 10 credits = Enrich one smart property on one record per request.
- Data Enrichment: Data enrichment streamlines the process of completing your contact and company profiles by automatically—or manually, if preferred—filling in missing details. This gives you a fuller, more accurate view of your audience, saving you the effort of manual research. Have in mind that the list of properties we can enrich is limited and the sources of information that HubSpot uses to get the information from can change. Also enrichment can be trigger manually, automatically (and in continuous sync), for form shortening and when importing data.
- 10 credits = Enrich one company or contact per record.
- Buyer intent: We see this new tool as the evolution of target account, as buyer intent works in tandem with your tracking code, registering all the companies that visits your website and according to your TAM and ICP definitions, can give you a clear list of prospects that you can start working on. This is a great tool for B2B companies that are starting to develop their ABM strategy. In this case credits give you access to engagement information about those companies and also to data enrichment about them.
- No clear definition on the amount of credits consumed by buyer intent, so to be checked when doing the setup in your account.
- Customer Agents (Pro and Enterprise): Breeze Customer Agent is your 24/7 AI team member that autonomously handles complete customer conversations across marketing, sales, and service. AI based, it learns from your knowledge base, website content, and internal documentation to provide accurate, helpful responses that align with your brand voice. It can handle routine queries while seamlessly escalating complex issues to your human team members. So far the use of Agents was a BETA and was free, but from now on, each transaction with your agents will consume your credits.
- 100 credits = One conversation (text-based channels)
Examples and ideas for using HubSpot credits.
- You can ask the AI in a prompt to look for information on the company's website, for example, amount of cars in their fleet or products/services they offer or countries where they have offices in.
- You can ask the AI in a prompt to look for information about recent founding the company had receive, specially if you are working with start- ups or with a specific industry/sector.
- You can ask the AI in a prompt to analyze a current text property and to return specific values to categorize it. This is a great option when you used to have a lot of unstructured data in text and you need to build now a new property with predefined categories or values for reporting.
- If you have information in a file you can ask the AI prompt to analyze it and return specific values. This can be use to analyze meeting notes, call transcripts or any file in a PDF format that you have received from the prospect or client.
This is a rather new feature so more examples will come in the next weeks but you can already image that possibilities are almost endless. And as everything in Tech is just a matter of testing and learning.
